Yesterday I did a post on the Harry Potter Chest Gift Set, and today it’s the turn of the more evil side of the franchise with the Deathly Hallows Tin Gift Set. There’s a lot of products in this that are the same, or rather equivalent to, the ones in the other gift set. Originally this tin was £20 so in the sales at the moment it’s £10 and has a range of bath and body products in it.
The tin itself is a nice quality and has a dark design for Harry Potter fans, while inside there’s two sheet masks, a bath bomb, eye mask, makeup bag, nail varnishes and a sheet of nail art stickers with a Deathly Hallows theme.
My planning has slipped a bit recently so I bought a big planner from TK Maxx a month or two ago and decided that I’d get some stickers to make it look better as I tend to keep up with it then. I bought a few different packs from Your World of Colour on Etsy which are designed for the Happy Planner style planners which is fairly close to the size of mine. I also found a few other sheets I liked the look of, the monthly day celebration ones are a bit different and I just love the fact there are such things as Chocolate Covered Anything Day (16th December if you’re interested in celebrating it). I’ve always loved organisers and planners, I think it comes from my mum who is definitely a lists person who has to do lists all the time. When I was at school I used to make so many to do lists for assignments and things but since leaving school, in my everyday life, I always seem to start these things with good intentions each year and then they fall apart a few months in. At least last year I lasted until September before my planner became bare with nothing but birthdays in it. This year I’ve decided to give it another go and this time it’ll be different. I may say that every year but this time I bought some new things that I love and I’ve already don’t more planner decorating than I have before.
Since I first saw them I’ve always thought the Erin Condren planners look amazing and there are so many stickers out there for them. However I have my personal sized Filofax which is big enough for me so nothing ever seemed to fit. However this year I found someone on Etsy who sells inserts for Filofaxes that have the perfect size boxes for the vertical style planners in Stamp Magic so I may have gone slightly over the top in buying some things from there and another Etsy store, Lucinda Charlotte Designs. This is the second Pusheen gift set I’m reviewing and this one was definitely better than the bath fizzers set from Monday. This is the Pusheen Nail Art Set and costs £8 at Boots, though it’s in the Christmas three for two offer. In the set there are three nail varnishes in the shape of upside down ice cream cones, a Pusheen shaped nail file, two toe separators, a black nail art pen and a sheet of Pusheen stickers (which may have been the main draw for me).
In the past I have bought a few nail art sticker sets and they all seem to have the same flaw of the stickers coming up at the edges quickly, I’m not sure I will ever learn that this happens but these were so cute and I do love Pusheen so I thought I’d give them a go. I know that I am probably twice the age of its intended audience, being 27, but I liked it and thought I’d review it in case any of you guys are interested in it, whether it’s for yourself or someone else. I do think it makes a very nice gift set with everything n there, like an introduction to nail art.
I’m not sure whether The Range is an international store but in the UK it sells pretty much everything to do with the home and gardening like décor, furniture, plants, pet supplies, arts and crafts bits and lots of different foods, I just saw some American chocolate in there this time I haven’t seen before. The main things I’ve bought are art and crafty things as they have good names for less than other stores I’ve bought from and their picture frames are great value and so far all of the ones I’ve got are good quality.
The main thing I went in for was a picture frame for a piece of art I got for Christmas from mum and dad which I love but it did need a frame to put it up on the wall. I did end up almost getting some more wall hanging things as they have some great metal ones with antique looking signs on them and some really nice mirrors. When I move out I’m definitely going there for bits. I also ended up looking in the art and craft bit and got a set of brushes and a discount card making set which was half price. They do have an online store but there isn’t the same range as available in store as I can’t find either the paint brushes or the goody bag, though they do have a lot of picture frames and home décor bits on there.
