Review: Soap And Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lipstick in Nude Edition Satin

In a recent Boots haul post I mentioned the Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lipstick in Nude Edition Satin in the gift set I bought. This is in their nude collection and costs £9 for the lipstick when it’s bought on its own. This has 3.5g (0.12 Oz.) of lipstick in it with a satin finish, as the name suggests.

I’ve bought a couple of their other lipsticks a while ago in different finishes, both the shine and matte styles, but not the satin so I was interested to see how it would work. I’ve not had the best luck with traditional lipsticks and staying power but I’ve been happy with the Soap and Glory ones in the past and do love a good nude lip so wanted to give this one a proper try.

Review: Holika Holika Gudetama Lazy and Joy Cupcake Eye Palette

Another product from the Holika Holika Gudetama collaboration today with the Gudetama Lazy and Joy Cupcake Eye Palette in Tiramisu. There are two colour options available, Tiramisu is more brown and neutral based whereas Red Velvet has a red base, the names do actually match very well and I love the cute Gudetama design on the front. These palettes are actually quads and the Tiramisu version comes with two mattes, a satin and a very glittery shimmer.

I bought these from the f2plus1 eBay store but they do seem to be widely available at the moment. I think they’re limited edition so it’s a good idea t get them soon if you think you’ll want them, I’ve found in the past Korean beauty products that are limited edition tend to be available in a lot of places one day and the next impossible to find in the U.K. The prices do range a bit but they seem to be within £9 a £15, which is more than I’d normally spend on a quad but I’ve been curious about Korean makeup since finding that the skin care really works for me.

Review: The Balm Appetit Eyeshadow Palette

balmappetit1

This palette, The Balm Appetit eyeshadow palette, was released recently though I’m not sure if it’s a limited edition or not. It doesn’t say it’s limited edition so I’m guessing it’s a permanent line product but it’s around the time some of the Christmas products are going to be coming out so it could be one too. It’s a palette with nine shadows, each one is 1.5g each, and has a food theme so the names are a combination of men’s names and food in a mix of odd but kind of fun puns. The palette is also cruelty free.

The nine eyeshadows could be grouped into three different finishes; three mattes, three foils and three satins, though the satins have varying amounts of shine and shimmer particles in them. The price seems to vary quite a bit but I bought it off HQ Hair which have it on sale for £30.60 with the 10% off The Balm products they have at the moment. I did also get a further offer but it’s not on there any more, it’s been replaced with another. I can’t find many places in the UK that has this exact palette but The Balm’s own website has it for $39.50 so it seems a good price.
