Next Outlet Clothes Haul

next-clothes-outlet-haul-1

After a recent declutter of my wardrobe I had a list of things I was looking for and I’ve got better at not buying things in sales just because they’re cheap but I did end up getting some things I didn’t have planned on a couple of recent trips to the McArthur Glen Outlet shopping centre in Bridgend. Everything I bought ended up being from the Next Outlet, they have had such good bargains recently, £2 for a good quality top or £10 for some jeans is such a good price if they’re what you want. For years I didn’t get that much from Next but it feels a bit like half of my go to wardrobe comes from there.

The Next Outlet stores often have extra reductions, which is what happened with most of the things I’ve bought, beyond the reductions in the normal sales. They also have older stock in lots of sizes sometimes as well as a range of clothes that are exclusive to the Outlet stores in the Special Purchase range. I know some people have said they aren’t the same quality as the standard line, they’re definitely cheaper than equivalents at full price, but I’ve bought quite a few things from them and they last just as well for me.

Review: Lush Plum Snow Christmas Bubble Bar

With the days getting colder it’s perfect bath weather and, having bought it in a recent haul, I decided to give the Plum Snow Bubble Bar from the limited edition Christmas range in Lush a go. This is a fair sized bubble bar, I used half for one bath but I can see it lasting for up to four if you’re careful with it. It costs £5.95 but is definitely bigger than the standard bubble bars Lush do.

Scent wise this is the same scent as the products in the Plum Rain scent range, just the solid bubble bar version rather than the shower gel that was available or the current body spray. I think it’s also the same scent as the sugar plum lip products, it definitely smells the same as the lip tint I got last year to me, but I’m not 100% sure on that one.

Lush Kitchen Exclusives Haul

Over Christmas I made a couple of orders with Lush. Most of what I ordered was either limited edition in the kitchen or sales shopping so it’s all out of stock, however in the two orders I did get four things that are exclusives to the Lush Kitchen and still available so I thought I’d do a first impressions type post on them. I think that three of the four, the three reusable bubble bars, were originally Oxford Street exclusives as I have tried the one before when people online were doing orders for the store for people who lived further away. The other two I remember seeing but I’m not 100% sure it’s from then.

The four reusable bubble bars are Windmill, Little dragon and Cherry Blossom and the fourth product is a 250g bottle of Plum Rain, a shower gel available exclusively online. These are all still available so I’ll link to them down below in the mini reviews of each.

Boxing Day Sale Haul: Rainbow Connection

I didn’t buy much from the Boxing Day sales but I did make an order from Rainbow Connection, a site that sells indie nail polishes and nail art supplies in the UK. Not all of it is here, a few of the stamper plates haven’t got here yet, but as most of it arrived I thought I’d do a post on it. I will be reviewing pretty much all of this at some point anyway so I’ll post the rest of the stamping plates then.

For the last few years I’ve been planning on trying nail stamping, it always looks so good when other people do it and I love how intricate the designs can be even if my hands are shaky. Most of my order was for this; a nail stamper set that was on offer, some plates, a couple of nail varnishes sold for stamping and then a few extras that caught my eye. I am yet to find a good gel nail varnish company that works for me apart from Red Carpet Manicure and I love holographic nails so I bought one of the Color Club gel nail varnishes as well as a couple of non gels that were in the destashing or old stock section from Organic Farm. I hadn’t heard of them before but apparently they’re from Korea and hard to get in the UK, so even if I love them I’m not sure how easily I could get more from them but these colours are so pretty.

Review: Morgan Taylor Po-Riwinkle and Warriors Don’t Wine

morgantaylor1

A couple of weeks ago I went to Sally’s Express for the first time, it was recommended by a local hairdresser and we mainly went to get hair things but I saw the price of the nail varnishes and had to get some. I bought four as they are in a buy three get one free offer but the two I’m reviewing today are the ones by Morgan Taylor. These are also in the Kung Fu Panda 3 Limited Edition Range so I’m not sure how easily available they are elsewhere or how long they’ll be available but they seem to be in a lot of places in the UK at the moment.

The two colours I chose are Po-Riwinkle and Warriors Don’t Wine as I’ve been looking for some similar colours to two I have and love already. The Sally’s site seems to be down at the moment (or not working for me) but these cost around £5 if you can use a salon discount or I think they were around £10 without which is cheaper than they seem to be normally. Marks and Spencer are having an offer where they’re £8.80 but I can’t see these exact colours in it.
