In a recent Korean beauty haul I bought a set of sheet masks that have Iceland Glacial Water listed as a main ingredient. The main thing that drew me to them is the different sheet mask flavours, that feels more like the right word than scent, as these include Mangosteen (you can find my review of that here) and today’s mask Peach. These just sounded so refreshing and I was intrigued to see how well they’d work compared to other Korean and British sheet masks I’ve tried.
I think the company that makes these is CNF, that’s the company name in the contact info on the back, and it’s not one I’d heard of before finding these. The Iceland Mask Peach sheet mask is supposed to be the moisturising one of the set and the set of five cost £5.91 with a silicone puff to help pat the sheet mask on from the f2plus1 eBay store, it’s cheaper now so it may change. Given how impressed I was with the first I tried I was really looking forward to this one so took it away with me when I stayed in Wales.
When I was looking around the f2plus1 eBay store (beautyNetKorea’s eBay store) I found these lip tints, the colours are so pretty and I’ve heard good things about Korean lip tints so was curious. Having seen the Peripera Peri’s Ink in a couple of videos on YouTube I thought I’d give it a go and decided on the Ink Velvet Formula in Pure Peach (£5.57), which I’ve recently found out is a Spring/Summer colour from last year so it’s not a new shade but it looked the most subtle and I wanted to start out with something not too bold rather than jumping in the deep end.
I feel like I should warn you, if you get the chance to swatch this in a store, the colour you get in a swatch is nothing like how it looks on your lips. Or that’s what I found anyway. When it first arrived in the packaging it looked orange, and I don’t mean nice coral orange but real orange fruit orange, which was not what I thought I’d ordered. Swatching it didn’t get any better on my hand and left a bright orange stain. However, trying it on my lips I could see where they got the photos online from. I feel I should include one of those photos here, it’s the stock photo taken for the product so copyright belongs to the Peri company and whoever took it, not me.
Today is part two of the Stila Liquid Eyeshadow posts, the second half of the Eyes for Elegance set I bought before Christmas. If you want to read about the three Shimmer and Glow Liquid Eyeshadows you can find my post on them here.
The Glitter and Glows definitely fit their name, there is a lot of glitter in these and there seems to be different sizes within the glitter too so you get a more dramatic sparkly finish with these. They have been around for a bit longer but I can only find two of the colours I have in the US Stila store and one in the UK one so I’m not sure if the third was limited to this set. The three colours are; Peachy Sheen (light peach), Smouldering Satin (light taupe) and Next to Notte (deep red or burgundy). The set of minis, these are 2.25ml rather than 4.5ml, cost £45 but individually at full size they’re £23.
I recently made another order from the F2plus1 eBay store for Korean beauty products, I think it seems to be this time of year that I make these orders. A couple of these products were ones I’ve had my eye on for a while and I may have bought some more sheet masks. I already have enough to last months but these ingredients sounded unusual and I do love anything lychee or mangosteen so they ended up in my basket.
I’m always a bit wary about ordering from eBay, especially when it comes to cosmetics as there are so many fakes out there and I think a fake plastic figure is one thing but something you put on your skin is another. But I trust the f2plus1 store as I’ve bought from them before. They also have an online store away from eBay, BeautynetKorea, which I haven’t used but think it’d be as trustworthy. It does take a while to get here, two or three weeks in general, but considering it’s all the way from South Korea that’s pretty quick.
I went shopping today so I thought I’d do a post on the things I bought, though a few of the things from Boots are repurchasing old favourites that I have reviewed in the past I did find a few new things that I am really excited to try. I also went to Matalan and managed to keep it down to three things from there, I could have bought so much more and I found a jacket that I will definitely be buying online as they didn’t have my size in store. I did also go to Pets at Home so I’ve included the few gerbil things I got there too, I wouldn’t normally but I figured it’s not an extra post and it’s something different.
