DIY Beauty: Avocado, Banana and Coconut Oil Hair Mask

diy-beauty-avocado-banana-coconut-oil-hair-mask-2After the success of the face mask I posted about last week I wanted to try something else avocado based and a hair mask seemed like it’d be easy and I do find that good hair masks make a difference to my hair. This recipe used three ingredients, all of them I already had, and you can find the full recipe and instructions here if you want to give it a go.

The banana, avocado and coconut oil all have individual properties that help your hair. They should help with moisture, repairing damaged hair or strengthening your hair so it’s a bit of an all round hair mask that I think would suit any hair type and give it a bit of a boost.

Review: CNF The Iceland Mask Peach Sheet Mask

CNF-peach-moisture-sheet-mask-6.jpg

In a recent Korean beauty haul I bought a set of sheet masks that have Iceland Glacial Water listed as a main ingredient. The main thing that drew me to them is the different sheet mask flavours, that feels more like the right word than scent, as these include Mangosteen (you can find my review of that here) and today’s mask Peach. These just sounded so refreshing and I was intrigued to see how well they’d work compared to other Korean and British sheet masks I’ve tried.

I think the company that makes these is CNF, that’s the company name in the contact info on the back, and it’s not one I’d heard of before finding these. The Iceland Mask Peach sheet mask is supposed to be the moisturising one of the set and the set of five cost £5.91 with a silicone puff to help pat the sheet mask on from the f2plus1 eBay store, it’s cheaper now so it may change. Given how impressed I was with the first I tried I was really looking forward to this one so took it away with me when I stayed in Wales.

Review: Primark Holler and Glow Purrfect Skin Hand Mask

primark-glove-masks-header.jpg

Having recently found the range of masks in Primark at my local store and seeing a hand mask I had to get one. Given my love of sheet masks I was interested to see how a hand mask would work and how it would compare to just using hand creams as I’ve never used any kind of hand mask before. This is the Holler and Glow Purrfect Skin Transforming Hand Glove Masks, which is a bit of a long name, and part of the printed mask range so it has a bright turquoise blue and pink leopard print design.

This pair of gloves costs £4 and you get one set for that. It didn’t specifically say it’s a one use only thing but I don’t think I’d want to use it twice. Basically it’s a pair of plastic gloves with, what feels like, a glove shaped sheet mask with the mask formula infused in the sheet inside the outer gloves.

Advent 2015: Day 18

Processed with Moldiv

I like today’s M&S gift and it’ll definitely be going into my box of travel sized bits as it’s a small Crabtree and Evelyn La Source Moisturising Soap. It’s a nice enough smell but the main reason I live it is the size, it’s great for travel so I’ve used it and left it to dry before it goes back in its box. The Yankee Candle tea light today is another Icicles candle, which is a nice light winter scent so I’m happy to get as many of these in the calendar as possible as it’s one of the more different scents that doesn’t mainly smell of Christmas spices.
