I said I was going to declutter and I finally managed to collect everything together and go through it all, some had mysteriously moved to my computer drawer at some point, so I’m going to start on my decluttering posts. I will be posting links to any reviews I’ve already done so you can see better swatches and things and there are some things that I do still like but it was just their time to go.
Today the whole post is eyeliners, some of these posts will probably have a few categories in as I don’t have much of some things, and it has both pencils and liquid, though I only have the one liquid liner I’m getting rid of. I don’t wear eyeliner much apart from bonzes and golds but I seem to keep thinking that I will and so buy them anyway. I am quite happy to say that the majority of these eyeliners were in free gifts like those spend X and get this bag of makeup free type offers so I don’t feel too bad getting rid of them.
I was going to call this a board game haul but it’s all card games, and I’m also not sure if you can class three games as a haul but I’ll go with it.
Until recently we’ve had about six or seven board games we play regularly and, as we’ve recently started to play games most nights rather than go and watch TV, I decided to try and introduce some more basic and easy to play tabletop games. It started with Ticket to Ride and Mystery at the Abbey but as they’re both longer games I saw a few card games and decided to take the plunge and get them after seeing two of them played by YouTubers I like so I know what to expect.
They arrived yesterday and we’ve had a few goes at them, they’re all very quick games even with the three rounds on two of them, so I thought I’d include mini reviews on each, I could do a more detailed one on any of them if you’re interested though. The games I got were Exoloding Kittens, Love Letter and Sushi Go! None of them are the most recent but they’re simple and I’m a sucker for nice art on games.
I was planning on doing a decluttering post for my books, I’ve been going through them and sorting out which to keep and I realised I don’t get rid of books, though I probably should for quite a few of them. I have managed to get a few that I’m either selling, passing on to people I know will like them or keeping for the next charity shop run.
For some reason I just find it hard to get of books. I also seem to buy more than I read and get rid of. Last year I made a list of books I wanted to read though I didn’t get through most of them. This year I decided to go through and get rid of the ones I don’t think I’ll be reading again and make a pile of ones I haven’t read but I’m not that likely to keep beyond that.
I love the base coat I used for this, the Red Carpet Manicure Boats and Heels from their summer collection this year. It’s one of the neon pastels (or pastel neons) that have been so popular over the summer and I have to say it’s one of the summer trends for nails that I love as it doesn’t make me look even paler than I am. I’m not sure whether you’d call this one a purple or a pink, it’s right in the middle somewhere I think, it’s either a pinky purple or a blue toned pink.
I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do with the nail art, I just liked the colour combination of purple or pink with black, white and silver accents. I also haven’t really used Thunder and Lightning from Models Own much and I love the holographic glitter in it so I felt like I had to include that in this one. I guess this post is going to be part nail art, part mini review of most of these colours. Continue reading
