I almost thought I’d skip the monthly favourites this month but when I actually thought back over what I’ve used this month I realised there are a few products that I really liked, there’s nothing actually makeup in here and I think I managed to avoid posting anything in a previous monthly favourites but quite a few of these have been things I’ve reviews in the past on this blog. If I have then I’m going to link to the full review post if you want to read more.
There were a couple of other favourites, things I’ve been watching or listening to this month that I normally include in this bit. There weren’t many things I could think of that’s new and I did want to include a Cadbury crème Egg but I may have ended up eating all twelve in the box that I bought last month, they did last longer than I thought they would though. I know I put them in my monthly favourites this time last year but they’re just so good I had to put them again. If you haven’t had them they’re basically a small Cadbury chocolate egg with a very sweet white goo in the middle and a yellow bit that looks like a yolk, they’re sweet and sticky and it’s very hard to just eat one of them.

Title: Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone (Illustrated Edition)
Author: JK Rowling
Illustrator: Jim Kay
Year written: 1997
Publisher and year: Bloomsbury Publishing Plc, 2015
ISBN Number: 978-1-4088-4564-6
I’ve been a fan of Harry Potter for years, I think I got the first two books in 1999, and always said I’d only have the original copies that I owned and not get any of the newer versions they came out with. However I saw this illustrated version online recently, it was published in October last year, and I loved it so bought it when I saw that it was half price on Amazon. I wasn’t sure originally if it was a complete copy as it seemed thin compared to what I expected with the amount of illustrated pages that takes up space for words. I have compared it at random points throughout the story to the original copy and it matches exactly.
This originally cost £30 but when I have ordered this it was £14.99. It is pretty big for a book and I have a photo of it next to the original Bloomsbury paperback from the UK for comparison. Size wise it’s around the same size as a few of the adult colouring books but thicker. It’s a hardback with an illustrated paper dustcover and the hardback underneath is red.

It feels like I’m doing more of these recent purchases posts recently but next week I should be back to normal posting schedule, I seem to finally be getting over this cold thing. I did plan another post for tonight but then this arrived in the post and I was too excited to look at them so had to post this tonight. Almost everything in this order has been going in and out of my basket on Amazon over the past few months and all of them happened to be cheaper at the same time so I bought them. I hadn’t actually heard of the Illustrated Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone until a couple of weeks ago but I saw some photos on Instagram of an illustrated Harry Potter in amongst other Potter goodies so I had to look it up. I got everything in this post from Amazon.co.uk but they’re available in a lot of other places, I haven’t seen the Illustrated Harry Potter anywhere else but I haven’t really looked in book shops, I saw the price on here and just got it.
