I have to admit I wasn’t entirely sure what to call this decluttering post as it sort of covers a lot of different eye products, basically anything that isn’t eyeshadow or eyeliner. I included my two concealer palettes in here because I only really used them as under eye concealers, though they could probably have gone in a face products post as well. As with my previous decluttering posts I’ll link to any posts I’ve done to review these products and link to any of the ones I really liked.
When I was going through my makeup products I realised I have so many unopened, unused mascaras in there so I could probably have actually got rid of a few more, I just do like to at least try one kind of mascara before I get rid of it. It feels like every one of those spend X amount or buy this many products sets seems to come with a mascara so I hardly ever actually buy any myself.

Years ago I used to buy the Elf brush shampoo and then they stopped selling in the UK. Since they re-opened for sale in the UK I have bought a bottle and had been putting off washing by brushes for ages. As I actually finally did it, and they really needed it, I thought I would do a review of the Elf brush shampoo as well. It’s been a few weeks since I used it so they’re probably due another wash. It’s one of those jobs I hate the thought of but it’s never as bad as I expect it to be, does anyone else find that?
Anyway, on to the review. This bottle is 120 ml (4.1 fl. oz.) of product and costs £4.50 on the Elf online store. I don’t know anywhere else that stocks them consistently in the UK, I have seen some Elf products in TK Maxx fairly often but not on a regular basis and never the same products twice in a row so it might be worth looking in there. The brush shampoo isn’t meant as an everyday wash kind of thing but a big wash after a while to completely cleanse any product off them. They do a daily use spray that I’ve never tried but wanted to, maybe with the next order I’ll get it. Have any of you tried it?

I think this may be the most things I’ve included in a monthly favourites but they’re things I’ve been loving and have almost finished a couple of them. Unfortunately my laptop screen is not working very well, it just jumps around a lot whenever I use my computer for more than ten minutes so I’ll be trying to sort that out but at the moment I’m writing this on my phone with photos taken on the iPad so sorry if the picture quality isn’t great.

The first monthly favourites of 2016 and I’m still writing 2015 in every time I have to write the date, it’ll take a couple of months for me to get that right. This is kind of a December and January favourites because I didn’t do one for last month as I was still recovering from Christmas and by the time I was going to do it it was a couple of weeks in and not long till this one. This is another big mix though I think there’s more beauty stuff in it this time than I often do.
I have been watching a few other things I’ll put in here but they’re not ones I have on DVD. I think after Christmas and watching Santa Claus the Movie I got into a bit of a Dudley Moore phase and ended up watching a lot of his movies so I’ll include one in here, Arthur is just so funny and one I’ve already seen twice this month. I also really liked Arthur 2, I know that’s probably not a popular opinion but it was harmless fun, not as good as the first but still pretty good. TV wise I’ve loved the new series of Endeavour, I love the Shaun Evans and Roger Allam combination and the characters and stories are great as a detective show and being a young Morse but without trying to be too much like him or trying to copy John Thaw.

This month there’s quite a few things on my list and, again, it’s a very mixed bag of favourites. I tend to stick with a lot of the same makeup so I don’t really get new favourites there, I’m trying to go through my palettes and work out which to get rid of as I have more than I need, though having watched decluttering videos on YouTube from makeup channels on there I don’t feel so bad, I probably have less to start with than they do after it. I guess that should be another favourite this month, I’ve ended up watching a lot of decluttering videos, also quite a few makeup storage ones for ideas as my drawer isn’t the most organised aside from the palette collection so I need some inspiration there.
