When Petty Bones Club did a Kickstarter for more Pokemon themed enamel pins I had to check it out. There were a lot of cute designs to choose from and I picked the Haunter, Alolan Raichu, Nurse Chansey and Officer Growlithe, though there are a couple that have gone up on the website that I want to get too. I somehow missed that these were going up on their site so Chansey is sold out now, but the other three are still there at £8 with some of the others that were available from the Kickstarter campaign.Continue for more Pokemon pins
I’ve loved enamel pins for as long as I can remember, I used to collect charity ones when I was little, so I love the fact that they’re in fashion at the moment and seem to be everywhere. I’ve also loved Pokémon for years, like a lot of people I grew up playing it and still do, so when I saw the enamel pins from Petty Bones Club I had to get some.
At the moment Petty Bones Club also has a Kickstarter campaign going with some cute Sailor Moon and Pokémon pins. It’s been fully funded so far but there are more pins to unlock so you should check it out if you’re looking for something like that. I’ve got my eye on a few but I could probably have got a few more if it was in my budget!
This nail look isn’t exactly fresh but I had fun doing it so I wanted to share it with you guys, and I kind of love the final effect so will definitely be doing this more with other pigments too. I’ve had some sample sizes of loose eyeshadow pigments hanging around for year without getting any use so I thought I’d see if they worked for nail art, it’s not like I had anything to lose as I was probably going to get rid of them somehow.
I decided to go for a multicoloured pastel mix of colours for most of the nails with some added nail art with white, that was supposed to look like sparkle and stars but kind of failed, and a pearly unicorn on each of the thumbs. I’m happy with how this has turned out and think I’ll be going for the pastel multicoloured nails for a family wedding coming up, just worth knowing that they don’t necessarily last that long so I’ll be doing them a day or two before rather than a while in advance.
I probably shouldn’t try new skin care products, my skin tends to react to things and when I get a proper routine I should probably stick to it, but I’m always tempted by new cleansers when I see them. In a recent Korean Beauty haul I found one of the Pokémon and TonyMoly collaboration foaming cleansers. There’s a range of four different types for different skin concerns and each has a different Pokémon on the front.
This is the Isanghessi (Bulbasaur) version (£4.94) which contains egg white and Portulaca oleracea extract. I used google to see what this actually is and apparently it’s a plant that’s used in traditional Chinese medicine for a lot of things but it’s supposed to sooth skin and help with irritation so it’s a calming ingredient. I’ve been using it for over a month now so I think I’ve seen what it does so time for a proper review of this as it’s definitely one of the cutest cleansers I’ve ever owned.
I’ve always loved organisers and planners, I think it comes from my mum who is definitely a lists person who has to do lists all the time. When I was at school I used to make so many to do lists for assignments and things but since leaving school, in my everyday life, I always seem to start these things with good intentions each year and then they fall apart a few months in. At least last year I lasted until September before my planner became bare with nothing but birthdays in it. This year I’ve decided to give it another go and this time it’ll be different. I may say that every year but this time I bought some new things that I love and I’ve already don’t more planner decorating than I have before.
Since I first saw them I’ve always thought the Erin Condren planners look amazing and there are so many stickers out there for them. However I have my personal sized Filofax which is big enough for me so nothing ever seemed to fit. However this year I found someone on Etsy who sells inserts for Filofaxes that have the perfect size boxes for the vertical style planners in Stamp Magic so I may have gone slightly over the top in buying some things from there and another Etsy store, Lucinda Charlotte Designs.
