This year I planned on getting a couple of advent calendars, one was going to be the Marks and Spencer’s Beauty Advent calendar, the other was probably going to be the cheapest of the three Body Shop ones. However, I managed to write down the wrong date for the M&S one so missed out on it and the Body Shop one was sold out by the time I had the room in my budget so I’ve been having a look around at some and actually will have four within my budget for two (I have one on the way which I will link to at the end as well). I did plan on getting the NYX one too, which may sneak into a basket if it goes on offer but I don’t really need the extra makeup even if the colours do look gorgeous!
I think this year will be the biggest variety in advent calendars I have ever had, it pretty much covers most of the things I like and they aren’t even really linked in any way. The first is from Funko Pop and is one I found by accident and had to get when I saw it was in stock, the second is a beauty advent calendar that was better than half price and has some amazing products in but it’s not one I’ve seen any posts on in advent calendar round ups, and the final one I have with me is full of tea! The fourth is Christmas decorations for the tree and I just love the style of them, plus I did originally decide to get it before I found any of the others and I just wanted an advent calendar.
This is something a bit different for my blog, I haven’t really done much on my pets and definitely not on products, but I recently got a Pets at Home Christmas Pet Parcel for Hamsters and it’s one of those where you get a surprise. It’s £10 and has £14.99 worth of products in it (I checked).
As these are all exactly the same during the Christmas release I’m not going to put spoilers in this first bit in case you want to get one and want a surprise yourself. It does contain a mix of chews, treats and bedding and they are all definitely Christmas themed. If you want to see exactly what’s in it then keep reading.
Or whatever festival you celebrate, or if you don’t celebrate anything then I hope you have a happy December. I’m surprised it’s only the last few days here it’s been cold enough to feel like winter, hopefully the weather wherever you are is ok and anyone with bad weather stays safe.
A bit of a different post for me but I’ve been doing festive things all today and seen all these posts up so thought I’d do some photos of our decorations, they’re just phone photos so I hope they’re good enough quality. 🙂 it feels like this is the first time in a couple of months that I’m actually having the time and energy to read blogs, my body has not been cooperating recently so sorry I’ve sort of lost contact with anyone.
That’s one thing I love about Christmas, talking to people you don’t contact often, getting cards and catching up whether it’s friends or family, real life contacts or online. So I hope you’re all having a good festive season and managing to relax a bit.
