I am so happy with today’s Funko Pop figure. Dobby is so cute and is pretty much the perfect character for the Pop proportions, he’s almost the right shape anyway without them distorting him as much as other characters. Plus he has his sock! Also loving the fact there’s another lip balm in the Holland and Barrett beauty advent calendar. This time of year I can never have too many of them and I was starting to run out.
It’s Christmas Eve! It doesn’t actually feel like it to me, Christmas sort of snuck up in me, and I’m still doing last minute wrapping. Today is mainly full of all the fun jobs preparing for Christmas and the dinner tomorrow and I expect I’ll feel more Christmassy later but it doesn’t feel like it now. Think we’ll be watching Santa Claus: The Movie tonight, it’s a bit of a tradition. Do you guys have movies you watch in Christmas Eve or other family traditions?
With it being Christmas Eve that means the last day in most of my advent calendars, the Marks and Spencer one has an extra day for Christmas so there will be one last, shorter, post tomorrow but this is the end of another year of advent and I’ve been very happy with pretty much everything I’ve got. Today I have a few full sized products, the Marks and Spencer advent calendar has a Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm in Peppermint which I is always a good product to get in the colder weather. The Ciate Mini Mani Month today has a full sized bottle, it’s an exclusive glitter called Meet Me at Midnight, and the bottle itself is so pretty too. The Yankee Candle advent calendar has a votive candle this time and it’s in the scent Christmas Eve, very appropriate, and the Lindt chocolate is a smaller version of the chocolate Santas they do and I had to confluence photos of it out of the wrapping because it’s just so detailed.
As I know a lot of you probably won’t be reading tomorrow, if anyone’s still following this advent, I thought I’d just say Merry Christmas! And have a great weekend whether you celebrate Christmas or not!
This is a product I got in my Marks and Spencer advent calendar and did a mini review thing in the post then but I love this so much and how much it has helped my dry skin in the winter weather that I felt it deserved its own proper review. I have used this product in the past, I think it was a few years ago now, and although I liked it then I didn’t repurchase it, I can’t remember why but I think it was just the sheer amount of hand products I had at the time and this kind of got lost in them. This time it hasn’t, despite me having eight different hand creams and a few cuticle oils or balms.
This Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream is from Burt’s Bees and comes in a small tin which is great for travel as I’ve not had a problem with it coming off when I don’t want it to. It’s lemon scented, as the name suggests, and the 15g tin costs around the £6 mark, it seems to vary from site to site so it’s worth looking around when you buy. On the Burt’s Bees website it’s £6.49, the Boots website has it at £5.99 and the Marks and Spencer site sells it for £6 but I’ve seen these in a lot of other places including smaller local stores so it’s definitely worth looking in physical stores especially ones that sell little gifts and candles.
This is a bit late, I should have done this about a week ago really, but this is the November favourites post. It took me a while to think of some things as I haven’t been out all that much and used anything new makeup wise but realised there are some things that I have loved in the month even if there are less than normal.
I do love these advent calendars, today in the Marks and Spencer one I got a Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream which I think is full size, if not it’s a great size anyway as you don’t need much at a time. I think that the Yankee candle one is cinnamon stick as it doesn’t actually say which is which number, even inside the door, which does leave a bit of guess work for the first one of each until I have one of all of them open so I can compare the more spice based ones to work them out.
Yesterday’s post ended up being done on the laptop because it froze in the app trying to post it, will see if I can get the hang of the app to do these from now on though. I’m hoping this read more thing works but if not I’ll just have to edit it later.
This is another post that’s going up later than I intended (though it does mean I’m posting every day this week, this feels rather odd and too organised of me!) as I meant to post this on May 1st as it’d be the right time for an April’s favourites really. I love reading these from other people, though I’ve not got round to doing any for this blog before now so I thought I’d start one, it’s always interesting to see the things people really use as well as review, at least that’s what I think.
I bought some more things from Boots, this time I made an online order and it’s pretty much just things I forgot when I went in a couple of weeks ago, things that weren’t available in stores and a couple of things I needed but didn’t realise Boots would have. I did kind of make two orders, one I paid for with the Boots points I have from having an advantage card, they’ve been building up for a while and I really wanted new makeup brushes so I thought I’d treat myself and try some I’ve wanted to look at.
I’ve been thinking about getting the Latest in Beauty Glamour beauty edit box since it came out though I was never completely sold on some of the products. I’ve seen reviews on youtube and read blogs on it and some of the products seemed good but I was always on the fence. Then I decided a week or two ago to get a magazine subscription for my iPad as I’m doing more travelling to see relatives and I remembered this box that includes a 1 year (or rather until January 2016) subscription to Glamour magazine, one of those magazines I tend to buy when I’m travelling to flick through in the evenings before bed or in the car. Add on the fact that it has 20% off the original price, bringing it down to around £13.60 and I was sold. It is still available here though I’m not sure if the code glamour20 still works, might be worth a try to see if it does if you want to buy it.
