I didn’t buy much from the Boxing Day sales but I did make an order from Rainbow Connection, a site that sells indie nail polishes and nail art supplies in the UK. Not all of it is here, a few of the stamper plates haven’t got here yet, but as most of it arrived I thought I’d do a post on it. I will be reviewing pretty much all of this at some point anyway so I’ll post the rest of the stamping plates then.
For the last few years I’ve been planning on trying nail stamping, it always looks so good when other people do it and I love how intricate the designs can be even if my hands are shaky. Most of my order was for this; a nail stamper set that was on offer, some plates, a couple of nail varnishes sold for stamping and then a few extras that caught my eye. I am yet to find a good gel nail varnish company that works for me apart from Red Carpet Manicure and I love holographic nails so I bought one of the Color Club gel nail varnishes as well as a couple of non gels that were in the destashing or old stock section from Organic Farm. I hadn’t heard of them before but apparently they’re from Korea and hard to get in the UK, so even if I love them I’m not sure how easily I could get more from them but these colours are so pretty.

Another post with some things I got in the Boxing Day sales, this time from Lush. I spent a while on the website on Boxing Day itself and it kept crashing, it was so hard to use I gave up on getting anything, I don’t know why they can’t get that fixed as it happens every year. The next day the sets I wanted were still available at half price so I ended up getting four of the Christmas sets. Unfortunately almost everything I’m posting about is no longer available but they may be in some of the remaining sets, a few are permanent products or have another product in the same scent.
I normally get one of the bigger hat box sets in the sale but as none of us were going into the nearest city with one for a while I thought I’d buy something online. Three of the sets I have were in reusable boxes or tins, I find that I get quite a bit of use out of the boxes and it adds value to the set if I get one of them rather than one that’s wrapped like a normal present. The two sets, Merry Christmas and Snow Fairy’s Castle, that come in a box with a lid are both designs that could be used all year round, there’s boing too Christmassy on them. I’ll be keeping the metal ball that Winter Garden comes in and the paper and ribbons used in Home For Christmas are so nice I’m keeping them to use next year. I did buy the sets for the contents not the containers, I had planned on buying some snow fairy, rose jam and a golden wonder in the sale but they weren’t there when I finally managed to make an order so I went for the sets.

I made a few orders in the Boxing Day sales, though only my Paperchase one was actually on Boxing Day and that’s one of the ones that hasn’t got here yet. The two I’m posting about today are the things I bought online from Boots and from. Holland and Barrett. One of the Boots things was a Star Buy, the Champney’s hand spa manicure set was £28 instead of £65 which seemed a good offer and the No7 Beauty Organiser was half price and actually ended up cheaper than the four brushes I wanted to get from them which were all in the set so that was a nice surprise. Holland and Barrett had their normal buy one get one for 1p sale that seems to be on half of the year but they had Dr Organics sets in there including the Snail Gel one which has intrigued me for a while, I chose the Rose set as well as it had a face mask and scrub in it, plus it was one of the only other things in the offer I wanted and at 1p it’s not bad.

These Blooming Lovely boots were the first things I bought in the boxing day sales, though it was a couple of days after boxing day when I actually ordered them. I love Irregular Choice shoes, I have five pairs of high heels from them that I love and wear all the time. They’re unusual and I find because they’re so different they go with everything, which probably sounds like an odd thing to say, but they do seem to work if they’re the sort of colour you’d want to wear with the outfit.
