Happy late Thanksgiving to any of you guys who celebrate it and happy Black Friday/Black Tag shopping even for people who don’t. I managed to get a couple of bargains with some clothes I wanted anyway and a big order for goodies from Holland and Barrett (I’ll have so much dried fruit and snacks over Christmas we could get snowed in and we’d be fine!) Have you guys braved the stores or found any bargains online? Or just avoided the whole thing altogether?
I’m feeling rather Christmassy recently and I decided to do an order from Paperchase to get some decorations, I got a new tree last year that’s slightly bigger than the one I had for 12 years and finally gave up on me so I wanted some extra decorations. I also did a smallish order from Amazon, a couple of things I’ve wanted for ages and I might finally be getting organised for my Ciate advent calendar swatching this year, or nail varnishes in general, and getting some nail wheels that I’ve been meaning to get for nearly two years now.
There’s a few things in these orders that are sort of bought with the idea of using them for photographs for the blog so I’m hoping that I’ll finally have a definite backing and some decorations. It’s taken me two years, long enough right?

I did a post on Friday about the empties from last month and there are a few of those products that should probably be in a monthly favourites post too as I used them a lot but I’ve chosen eight different products I’ve been loving this month. I think most of these are a case of finding something I’ve had for a while and loving it but there are a couple of new things I only found this month. It seems a bit odd to include food but the Walkers Sunbites in general are so good. I really like it when companies do a good sweet chilli flavour for crisps things and these have the crunch and a bit of spice without being too hot for me which is always good as I don’t do chilli all that well sometimes.
I feel like in a monthly favourites I have to at least mention Reigns and Hustle Cat as I have really liked both of these games, Reigns in particular is one you pick up and play and lose time in whereas Hustle Cat is more one to sit down and know you’ll play for a while. This month I haven’t really been watching or listening to much that’s new for me to say that I’ve found something different. I have been really liking the heritage series, or whatever they’re calling it, that the BBC are doing where they either remake old series I none offs or they do a prequel or sequel type thing for them. It’s a nice way to revisit older series and give a new twist on them. Robot Wars finished and that was a great series, I hope they bring it back for a second (maybe they have already announced it and I missed it) but that next time it’s longer. I’d love to see some of the robots from earlier series appear, seeing some of them back was nice but I’d love to see the return of ones like Chaos 2, Panic Attack, Pussycat and Razor. They’d have to be updated against the newer robots but seeing some of the old teams back would be nice even if they’re new robots.

I realised, when working out what to include in this post, that I didn’t actually do one of these for June so this is going to be a bit of a two months in one. Also, it turns out that most things work on the new Windows 10 but edge does not like WordPress and my camera is not registering on there so this post is coming from my iPad including photos so may not be the best quality
I don’t know how many of you are in the UK and how many will have watched Robot Wars when it was first on, or on any of the repeats, but I love that show. As the new series has just started a lot of June and July I was watching the original series to get ready and I was surprised at how early I was watching it originally, it seems I started at series 2 with the original airing. So far I’m liking the new series though I do miss the rhymes from Craig Charles in the later series. Also some of my favourites aren’t in the new one but it was to be expected, I wonder how the original robots would have survived against the new ones.

I did originally try to list the places I bought from in this post as I thought I’d put all my most recent purchases in one place but the title got ridiculously long. I did originally think of doing one or two of these separately but then I realised they were all arriving near each other and it would mean it was later for me to post any of the reviews and I’m really looking forward to some of these products. This post has a combination of orders from Amazon, ASOS and Superdrug but there’s also a couple of things I won on the village fete tombola that I thought I’d throw in here as well.
As you can see from the photo this post covers a lot of different things, most of them I’ll be posting about on here some time in the near future. Most of them are beauty products but there’s some DVDs and books thrown in there too.

Sorry the external links won’t work for this post, this is the fourth time I have tried to post it and it’s crashed my computer each time. I’ll try to add them tomorrow but I just want to get this post up tonight so it’ll be link free for now.
This month I have mainly been using new things, which is unusual as a lot of the time it seems like my monthly favourites are full of old things I have rediscovered. It’s another big mix of things though I think it’s mainly beauty and accessories and a couple of them probably won’t be surprises if you follow my blog given the reviews I’ve given them recently.
I don’t think there’s been much music that I’ve been listening to really this month, a bit mix of a lot of older albums I found on my old mp3 player that only works when it’s plugged in so it’s been quite a bit of 90s cheese you get at school discos and early 2000s pop punk. TV shows though I have been watching some new things for once, I loved the Night Manager, I thought that Hugh Laurie and Tom Hiddleston were amazing in it and I really liked Tom Hollander too, he was a jerk but for some reason I liked him anyway. No spoilers so I won’t say any more. I also really loved the RSC Shakespeare Live thing that was on the BBC for the 400 year anniversary of Shakespeare’s death. The ‘to be or not to be’ bit made me laugh and I just liked the range that was on there. I have ended up going back to some old favourites like Red Dwarf and NCIS but those two new ones stood out a lot.

This is a bit late, I should have done this about a week ago really, but this is the November favourites post. It took me a while to think of some things as I haven’t been out all that much and used anything new makeup wise but realised there are some things that I have loved in the month even if there are less than normal.

I love reading people’s monthly favourites, seeing what they actually use and like as everyday products and things. I’ve ended up with another mix of lots of things in mine, I like a lot of things and have found new products or rediscovered ones I’d forgotten or not used in a while from a few different kinds of product outside of beauty as well so it’s a bit like last month with a bit of everything in there. Maybe I should keep that as part of the title every time, or would that be a bit repetitive? Anyway, here’s the products I’ve loved, I’m not sure where you can find some of them online so I’m going to link the things I can find.

Two of my favourite Disney movies when I was little were Mulan and Robin Hood so when I got some Amazon vouchers for Christmas I decided to get them, these are the 21st and 36th in the series of ‘Disney animated classics’ with the limited edition slip cases over the covers. I’ve loved the look of these classic collection DVDs since I first saw them and as these two were a good price I thought they would be a good start to the collection if I get the rest. They do seem to range a lot in price, even in the 3 or 4 minutes I was on Amazon Mulan came down by over £2 and Robin Hood by about 50p so it might be worth keeping an eye out for the changing prices if you want any of the limited edition collection. I’m not really going to review the movies themselves so much, it’s more the specific edition of the DVDs. These are also available in Blu-ray and in some instances these are cheaper, at one time the Robin Hood DVD was £20 and the Blu-ray £13, I chose the DVD version as I don’t have a Blu-ray easily accessible and like to be able to watch things on my laptop as well.
